Elizabeth Wewiora is an artist and curator, preoccupied with the very visceral and changeable nature of the everyday environment and is often intrigued by the individual habits of human nature and how this affects our surroundings. Working in photography, design and video and by using the everyday, non-precious objects and characters are reworked often to bring the void between ordinary and extraordinary closer. In recent years her work focuses on socially engaged arts projects and collaborative programming and has exhibited and delivered projects with organisations including CCA, Glasgow, QUAD gallery, Derby, FutureEverything, Manchester and the University of Reading to name but a few . She has worked for galleries across curatorial and engagement roles including CFCCA, Manchester, CCA & Glasgow Sculpture Studios, Glasgow and is currently the Communities Curator at Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) in Liverpool.

Elizabeth is also one half of Curatorial Duo wewioraprojects, who explore and deliver art projects that put audiences and their engagement at the heart of programming, take art outside of the art environment into nomad spaces, and work with the best of creative contemporary talent, across the North of England and nationally. Current projects include  Northern Art Carbooty and national touring programme Tall Tales.
